These Terms & Conditions of Membership govern the relationship between the Cannabis Trades Association (CTA) and its members. By applying for membership, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. Definitions

1.1 "CTA" refers to the Cannabis Trades Association.
1.2 "Member" refers to any organisation whose membership application has been accepted by the CTA.
1.3 "Membership" refers to the status granted to a Member upon acceptance into the CTA.

2. Membership Eligibility

2.1 Membership is open to organisations involved in the legal cannabis industry within the UK.
2.2 Applicants must demonstrate adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

3. Application Process

3.1 Applications for membership must be submitted via the CTA's official application form.
3.2 The CTA reserves the right to request additional information or documentation to verify eligibility.
3.3 The CTA reserves the right to accept or reject any membership application at its discretion.

4. Membership Fees

4.1 Your minimum term of membership is 12 months
4.2 Membership is renewed annually.
4.3 Cancellation of renewal must be received in writing three months before renewal date.
4.4 Membership fees are payable annually and are non-refundable.
4.5 Membership fees are determined by the CTA and are subject to change with notice.
4.6 Members must ensure that their membership fees are paid on time to maintain their membership status.

5. Member Obligations

5.1 Members must adhere to all CTA policies, guidelines, and codes of conduct.
5.2 Members must conduct their business in an ethical and professional manner.
5.3 Members must not engage in any activity that may harm the reputation of the CTA or the legal cannabis industry.

6. Benefits of Membership

6.1 Members are entitled to benefits as outlined by the CTA, which may include:

Access to industry events and networking opportunities.

  • Inclusion in the CTA directory.
  • Access to CTA resources, research, and publications.
  • Advocacy and representation on industry issues.


7. Termination of Membership

7.1 Membership may be terminated by the Member at any time by providing three months' written notice prior to your annual renewal to the CTA.
7.2 The CTA reserves the right to terminate a membership if a Member:

  • Fails to pay membership fees.
  • Violates CTA policies or codes of conduct.
  • Engages in activities that harm the CTA or the legal cannabis industry.

7.3 Upon termination, all membership benefits cease immediately.

8. Data Protection

8.1 The CTA will handle Members' personal data in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
8.2 Members agree to the CTA holding and processing their personal data for the purposes of membership administration and the provision of membership benefits.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 The CTA is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from membership.
9.2 The CTA's total liability to any Member in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with membership shall not exceed the membership fee paid by the Member.

10. Amendments

10.1 The CTA reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions of Membership at any time.
10.2 Members will be notified of any amendments, which will take effect immediately upon notification.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These Terms & Conditions of Membership are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
11.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
