The CTA works on improvements in quality, health, safety, environmental practices and helps set common standards for products or for methodologies of working.

This can result in the publication of guidelines, codes of practice, information notes and providing education for the industry. We also provide a point of reference for our members and act as an important information source; information which is often exclusive to our membership.

The CTA will assist and help members in becoming compliant to UK regulation. We offer compliance assistance with:

  • website & social media
  • labelling and packaging
  • advertising & media
  • general compliance.

However, it is up to each and every member to remain compliant with, and legal to, the regulations of the country that they are based and which they sell in.

History of the CTA

When several companies selling CBD were sent letters by the MHRA in mid 2016, they formed a small group to ensure the future of the industry.

The Team at the CTA

The CTA has a small but efficient operations team who work tirelessly for the membership.
