Thomas O’Neill is a Canadian cannabis entrepreneur, author and speaker best known for Legacy of the Butter Baron, a semi-fictional autobiography that follows his journey from the legacy market into Canada’s legal era.
He is managing partner of Aggressive Organics, an enterprise focused on craft products, agricultural research and cannabis tourism, and he has operated publicly as “The Butter Baron”. In 2019 he secured a Health Canada research licence and led work on large-scale cultivation methods suited to colder climates.
O’Neill has produced experiential cannabis dining events with chefs through Aggressive Organics, and he has advocated for better rules around cannabis tourism, including founding the Canadian Cannabis Tourism Alliance.
He is a repeat speaker at the Grow Up Conference in Canada.
