FSA - Update to criteria of CBD products which can remain on sale from 1 April 2021
The FSA has reiterated its advice 20 days before the announced date of 31st March.
Before this announcement, a company had to have a validated application by the 31st of March to continue selling products.
Now - a company can submit an application before the 31st of march for validation.
Any applications received after the 31st of March will need Full Authorisation.
The FSA has gone further by saying the following:
"... Previously, only products which were on sale at the time of the FSA’s announcement (13 February 2020) and were linked to an application which had been validated by 31 March 2021 were to be included. To maximise the opportunity to pass validation, this now includes all products on sale on 13 February 2020 and linked to an application submitted before 31 March 2021 that is subsequently validated."
This is a positive way forward however it only leaves companies 20 days to submit.
