“Two days of conversations at ICBC Berlin with some of the most innovative companies in the cannabinoid space left me thinking:
There is a massive, largely untouched gap in cannabinoid research and product development and it sits right at the intersection of female biology.
The patients who stand to benefit most from cannabinoid medicine are overwhelmingly overlooked.
Look at who is actually suffering:
▶︎ Fibromyalgia ~80–90% women
▶︎ Multiple Sclerosis ~74% women
▶︎ Rheumatoid Arthritis ~70% women
▶︎ IBS ~65% women
▶︎ Migraine ~60% women fact check
▶︎ Chronic Pain in general female-predominant
Let alone endometriosis, #menstrual pain, and #perimenopause.
All conditions where cannabinoid-based therapy shows promising and growing evidence.
Yet the research, the products, and the protocols are still built with women as an afterthought.
The female endocannabinoid system shifts with every hormonal change, across the cycle, across the lifespan. It is wired differently and it needs to be treated differently.
This is NOT a niche.
This is the majority of the chronic disease burden, built on a biological system the industry has barely begun to address
This is for healthcare providers, companies, and anyone building in the women's health and cannabinoid space who wants to shape the #next chapter of cannabinoid medicine.
